What does CC in 125cc mean?
It is the engine capacity in cubic centimetres: the area of each cylinder bore multiplied by the stroke, added up across the cylinders. UK law sets that definition out in regulation 43 of the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 2002. On GOV.UK, category A1 covers light motorbikes up to 125cc and 11kW.
